This game is one of the best of it's kind with nice looking graphics and polished functionality. Where it gets old quickly is the 'pay to win' aspect. It is possible to play for free or without spending much money at all but the 'MMO grind' gets worse and worse as you level up. Some research studies take months to complete.

Thank you for your feedback. There are a lot of good bonus Items and Boosts that you can receive for taking active part in Tournaments. Also there are several ways to reduce the time required for upgrade, such as using Hero's Equipment, the "Townscape" Item and so on. We wish you to find your own strategy and achieve success!

Unsatisfying

I found Throne to be far slower paced than I had hoped. The pictures on the App Store had me hopeful that this would have some RTS style combat; but, unless that shows up much further down the track, there is no such thing.
There were signs of features that may have become vaguely interesting at higher levels, but only after 30+ upgrades that were already over 2hr long. If you want me to spend money on your game I would highly recommend giving me reason to like it in the first place, as opposed to hinting that it might get better, but I'd be a fool to waste my time levelling up the long way.
Great job with the visuals, there was some nice high quality there. But far to many animated menu items begging me to click on them and take me to look at a some store page or another.
I didn't come across any bugs and it feels to me like you've achieved what you set out to do. So well done for that at least.
But very misleading with the pictures on the store. None of them match my experience in playing the game, other than the art style.
