Find Trello Helpfull, But I Have A Suggestion.

Since starting to use Trello on and off last year, and more seriously this year, I have found Trello to be helpful with working on my assignments and other projects because I am less reliant on a physical workbook than I was. It’s a good thing to have if you don’t have your workbook or note book handy to jot down notes or look at where you are up to. Creating boards and card help with creating a digital workbook because you can organise it how you want or reorganise along the way as the assignment or project is moving along.

I do have one suggestion. It would be handy to be able to edit the text that you have written on each card like you would in microsoft or similar programs. Although it may be easier to then just use microsoft programs or similar programs, but even if Trello could add a small selection of text editing capabilities would help. On the MacBook, the sticky note app at least has al least some basic text editing capabilities like changing text colour, text size and text appearance. I think this would help if you are writing something in the description of a card and you want to clearly distinguish what text is different from the rest (eg. book title, author, creating a header etc)

It works but breaks Mac keyboard shortcuts

It works as advertised but it breaks the Mac UX norms. You can't Command ` to switch between open windows which makes it really hard to manage multiple windows.

We're working on this! Thanks so much for your patience :)

Trello runs in the background and drains your MacBook Battery fast

The Trello app for MacOS is a great replacement for the web browser application. It gives you more space and separates it from the rest of the noise in the browser.

The app however starts a few “helpers” that constantly run in the background. Check Activity Monitor and see how Trello becomes the top energy using application and drains your battery faster than it should.

I first thought this update solved the problem, yay, but… no. Still one helper runs constantly, polling and prevent the app from having a napp.

Developer Response ,

Thanks so much for the feedback! I'm sorry that your experiencing a faster battery drain with our app, I'll speak with the team about reducing our performance hit with the app. If you have any other questions or follow-up, feel free to reach out at
