FAQs
How do chat consultations work?
Start a consult with one tap and send a private and secure message to the doctor. Your message is sent directly to the doctor and you will be notified as soon as they respond. If needed, the doctor can start a live audio or video call with you. You can send text and voice messages, make voice and video calls, and share images and documents, all from inside the app.
Do I need to enrol?
Enrolment is not required. Well Revolution does not change your GP. If your enrolled clinic is using the app, you’ll find them there too.
How do I make an appointment?
No appointment is needed. Start a private chat at any time.
What does it cost?
Well Revolution Doctors cost
- $49 between 8 am and 6 pm, 7 days per week and
- $79 for all other hours, including public holidays.
- If your GP is on the app, their usual fees apply.
- You will see any fees before you start a consult.
How do prescriptions work?
The doctor creates and sends paperless prescriptions for you in the app. Then you choose how you want it. Select your favourite or nearest pharmacy for the most convenient pick-up location.

When you use Well Revolution, you are trusting us with your information. We take your privacy seriously. This app and our service are subject to all healthcare and privacy laws and regulations in New Zealand. All doctors on Well Revolution are professional, qualified and licensed in New Zealand. Our strict privacy policies and data protection methods are designed to keep your information safe and secure.

If your own GP or clinic is not on the app or if they’re not available, you can connect with a Well Revolution doctor to get the care you need right away. All doctors on Well Revolution are exclusively in New Zealand.
Who are the Well Revolution Doctors?
You will see their profiles in the app. All Well Revolution doctors are qualified and registered New Zealand General Practitioners. They can help with many common medical conditions. Head to well.as/treat to learn more.
I love the idea of it, but I don’t think the whole online doctor thing is ready

I love the idea of able to see a doctor at home. But I think the whole thing wasn’t ready, I am not talking about the this group. It is more about the whole industry regulation. I do think the website need to have some clearer information about what can be prescribed virtual space, information wasn’t clear, I understood that they can not prescribe control medication and any classified medication, but I did not think that to get a first generation antihistamine for sleeping would’ve been an issue. Also they can not do repeat medication too, that really need to be on the website as information too. But great job guys this is a great starting point.

This app has been life changing for me as a busy working mum. I no-longer have the issue of: 1. Trying to book an appointment or leaving a message for repeat prescriptions with the nurse and missing their return call or 2. waiting in the waiting room for my name to be called when I have a million other places I need to be. Prescriptions and Dr’s appointments were always an overwhelming task I would avoid. But now I can start a consult for repeat prescriptions or because I want some antiviral treatment for my cold sore (for eg) while I’m at work or making afternoon tea for my kids. It’s easy, fast and not overwhelming at all as it doesn’t interrupt my day. Highly recommend this app!!

What this app basically does it dramatically improve the time of illness to the time you get the medication you need, in an overwhelmed healthcare system like the one we have here in New Zealand this is EXACTLY what people need to get basic treatment FAST.If your clinic is booked out 4 weeks like mine and it’s basically impossible to get the medication you need then this app is genuinely life changing, I went from having to wait between 1-4 weeks for medication to usually same day prescriptions. So if you’re someone like me that needs something simple like antihistamines or antibiotics then this app would be life changing.Great work Team!

Blown away by this app.I’m in Tauranga and my son and I both have green mucous coughs. Within an hour of downloading the app for both of us, we have had our consultations and scripts have been sent to the pharmacy 3 mins away from our home in Tauranga.
