Needs work

I like others reviewing here gave been stung by a council saying I had not paid for parking when I had. Tbh, it is not worth wasting your time arguing about it. Improvements: don’t put the green confirmation button at the bottom of the screen put it at the top. You should mot have to scroll to do this. Secondly, if you have parked and either forgotten to manually buy a ticket or used the CC option within the app, why can it not warn you of this? The app has your GPS info and knows you are in a paying park. This would probably remove most of the complaints people have about this app.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for your feedback! We are always planning improvements for the future of ParkMate so your input is valuable. Unfortunately, we do not have the function to track if someone is in our car park or not through the app so cannot send those sort of reminders at this stage.

App ‘confirms payment’ and isn’t insisting a session.

For the second tome in 2-weeks I have paid through ParkMate and it ‘confirms’ my payment then when I return to my car I had got a ticket.

After the first time I contacted the team and let them know and they told me to appeal the ticket. I sent through proof of my parking and paying at the same time everyday and they replied telling me I am responsible for making sure the payment goes through.

Now to be clear, ParkMate thanks me for confirming the payment, but the enforcement services are now telling me I’ll need to check my bank to make sure they payment has actually come out.

Ripped off

The app itself is fine BUT be careful where you use it Auckland it’s Not just for anywhere even if your gps shows on your receipt as correct
I paid using the ParkMate app for two months parking in the same area daily only to return to my car one day and receive a parking ticket ?
I queried the parking ticket and showed the receipt for payment they stated that I was using the wrong app despite no signage stating this .
In the meantime they have kept All the money I have paid them over the two months and only refunded the one day I received the ticket?
Sounds like a money grab and pretty dishonest business practice to me
