More than comparable…

I switched to this game from another well known Scrabble app, out of frustration with ads etc. It took a while for me to come to grips with the format, but now I find this game much more enjoyable at least.
The one main annoyance I have with WWF - is the dictionary, which includes many words it shouldn’t and misses many words it should. Second is that in the competitive ‘Quick Play’ events, the prizes are not actually worth competing for - like at all. This is a pretty big buzz kill. Particularly when you have high financed players putting in far more coins getting to first place, than they’re ever going to receive in winnings - making the basic competition obsolete for all those who are good players but just don’t have the dosh. It becomes pointless.
Other than that, mostly, I do enjoy playing WWF regularly without having to plow any real money into it and the ads are more manageable - compared to another Scrabble app, so that’s good. 4 star****

I love playing this game, but wish people would use proper English, some of the words people use, I have never heard of and ain’t in traditional English dictionary. Also players beware, in the last week I have been playing with a few males all saying their wife’s died recently or awhile ago, or the currently working overseas lol, want to be friends then weeks later , trying to persuade you to send them cash or by Bitcoin, turns out they are scammers, I nearly got caught, so mainly female players, BE AWARE of who u playing with if they want to strike a conversation with u

Ads ruin the game

The game itself is great. Unfortunately the developers have decided to throw ads into every possible part of the game - I’ve even had a move interrupted because an ad has popped up, and a timed move ran out of time because of an ad. Some of the ads - such as the current ad for Royal Match, for example - are almost impossible to close down and if you can close it you’re directed immediately to an App Store to download it; when you cancel, you’re back on the ad screen and you can’t get rid of it. Ultimately the only way to keep the game going is to shut it down, make sure it’s not running, then open it again. It’s really annoying. Essentially it seems that they want to annoy people enough that they can sell the ad-free packages and make more money. This game used to be a lot of fun when it first came out; now it’s clearly just a cash cow and the developers are milking as much as possible.
