Response to negatives reviews from NZ

I have been a client of world remit for over 5 years and send money monthly from NZ to India to my family. There was a time when I needed to phone up the company many times when the receiving country decided that my daughter was a business and refused to accept my funds. I always got through on the NZ phone number easily and fast and even when Iwas angry and frustrated I always had staff who were polite and helpful. World remit has limits as it only can send to personal accounts and has no power over the decision of the recieving country. They could not solve my problem, but then I couldn’t either when I was in India, what I like about them the most is that I can send any amount to my kids for NZ$2 and they have it within minutes. They are very very fast once you have a regular system setup.

Issue still not fixed

I am so disappointed with WorldRemit. I think something is really off about them now. I made a transfer last Tuesday and its still pending. Whenever I call them, I am on hold for atleast half n hour. I waited an hour on chat and nobody replied there. Finally on call when somebody replied, they said our systems are down please try calling us after 2 hours??? If the systems are down, normally the phone has an answering machine telling you not to wait because the systems are down. Either WorldRemit doesn’t have that or their agents just don’t want to help us. Whatever the case, because of WorldRemit I got behind my payment and had to pay 500aed penalty. Ethically it should be paid by WorldRemit but of course they won’t because they don’t care for their customers. I am shocked and utterly disappointed how WorldRemit has gone downhill rite in front of me. I have been with you for the last 5 years and I never expected the service to fail like this. If you guys don’t want to work why don’t you just shut the business, why make people go through this extreme anxiety. Do you even realise what a sensitive business you are running to handle it so carefully. We send money to families, to pay rents, to pay for our loved ones, to pay for ourselves. And still this cold, ignorant and heartless attitude?? You can’t even bother calling me?

User unfriendly ~ WorldRemit

I couldn’t get through contact support via phone in New Zealand so I tried Australia. Was on hold for almost an hour, however I do understand that Support call center could be very busy with volume of calls.
Sadly, WorldRemit does not have a support email or message write up provision which reflects pretty badly on them…even Western Union has this.
In my personal opinion, WorldRemit could be excellent in their core function in transferring funds but it’s a real let down if their customer and support service not to standard ~ this deters potential customers just because of a basic essential and efficient customer support service lacks to really low sub standard. Even the Faqs are so vague during search. I really had to navigate and scroll through each Faqs to see what suited close to my need and in a turnaround, it sad to contact customer support which is only via phone.
An email/messaging would have sufficed and saved time and frustration.
I’m even compelled to give one star rating so just to allow my review to be published; I had no intention of giving any star rating.
