What we love: The open-ended creativity of it all. Play Survival mode and eventually face the Ender Dragon, go into Creative mode and build to your heart’s content or try one of the many, many user-made costume packs, maps or mini-games available in the Marketplace – however you want to play, there’s something for everybody in Minecraft.

The game is capable of generating some absolutely stunning worlds to go adventuring in.

Quick tip: Stay in the light. In Survival mode, enemies only appear in the dark; make sure your house (or other dwelling) is lit up properly so you don’t wake up to a creeper staring you in the face!
