I just paid 10 usd for this app that doesn’t work at all, I just wanted to write equations and is not possible without allowing the full access to confidential information

iOS does not al­low a third-par­ty key­board to ac­cess the In­ter­net un­less gran­ted Al­low Full Ac­cess. Ma­th­Key needs to ac­cess the In­ter­net as conver­sion is done in the cloud (be­cause of iOS li­mi­ta­tions).

When you en­able this op­tion, iOS warns you that this key­board may have ac­cess to your per­so­nal in­for­ma­tion such as your cre­dit card num­ber. This is po­ten­tial­ly true but if and only if you type this kind of in­for­ma­tion with that key­board.

What I want to un­der­line is that key­boards are sand­boxed : they can­not have ac­cess to what you ty­ped with other key­boards. They are to­tal­ly blind : they can only ac­cess what you type with them.

While this war­ning seems le­git for re­gu­lar key­boards, you are not li­ke­ly to type your cre­dit card num­ber with Ma­th­Key, aren’t you? 😅

Mo­reo­ver, you can be sure that eve­ry­thing you type with Ma­th­Key is not sto­red in our da­ta­base and that com­mu­ni­ca­tions with the conver­sion server are se­cu­red.
