「モチベーションを押し上げろ!」
ある日の夕方、灯りがともった赤ちょうちんを目指して、
サッカー好きを自認する商店街の主たちが集まってきた。
腰を痛めた父親に代わって、急きょ会合に参加することになった主人公の俊之輔。
渋々のれんをくぐると、案の定、酒量が増えていくにつれオヤジたちの議論は、
あらぬ方向にズレていき……。
「南アで逢いましょう。」
昼下がりの東京のカフェで出会った女と男。
サッカー観戦のあとのキスをきっかけに、ふたりは付き合いはじめる。
だが、それも束の間、女の家族が病に倒れ、ふたりは離ればなれになってしまう。
メールで互いへの愛を確かめ合うふたり。
やがて、日本代表が南アフリカで開催されるW杯への出場を決めると、男は女にある提案をする……。
