Canon PRINT 4+

I’ve been using this app since 2017, all I can say is that its a great one, simple and very convenient to use, just make sure you don’t run out of paper so you won’t have a problem will using it. To the maker, thank you… as long it stays easier to use, it deserves a 5 star.

Google Cloud Print (GCP) is a free software you could use to consolidate your printing requirements in an orderly fashion. This is leagues better than the Canon Print App. Why?

(1) GCP sends the entire document to the printer, and could continue printing even if I turn off my device
Canon's app: cuts printing the moment you close the app.

(2) GCP has a diverse page selection option. Allows back to back printing.
Canon's app:
Has a slot machine-inspired page selection interface. Can count and print pages like how a 3 year old can (2 digits at a time).

(3) GCP can print regardless of which network you're on.
Canon's app: requires you to be on the same wifi band.

Conclusion:
The interface of Canon's print app is just really optimized for photographers, or at least that's what they say. But if you're like me that requires snappy heavy printing, look elsewhere. But I guess if you bought a canon printer, chances are yours doesn't have airprint because that costs extra, like 20% more for the same product just with airprint. So you don't have any choice but GCP. Look elsewhere, I suggest HP.

As the title suggests, it is convenient as I don’t need to use my laptop to print my files, but since the features are too basic (ie. no booklet type printing, file orientation, odd or even pages, etc.) I find it more frustrating to print since I’m used to being able to print my files in booklet form because it saves me much more paper and is a better format for the files I print. I wish there were more print options and customizations.
