PSP Version adapted to Mobile

Symphony of the Night’s dialogue is from the 2006 version, where it is better than some of the goofy bits in 1997(reminded of the Succubus Cutscene where it sounded more like the enemy is moaning in pleasure, which unsuited for the cutscene) but the iconic “die, monster” scene is forever missed by many.

Gameplay is the same as ever in 1997, except about encountering a bug where in the reverse Clocktower, when falling to right side of a gear, you’ll fall right through the floor.

The spells are still the same as ever, being activatable with button commands and it is made easier via a shortcut but only available if the player executes the spell or buy it from the Librarian.

The game is recommended more on a controller than playing it with a touch screen, due to the controls being not so intuitive for mobility and with the Inverse Castle being littered with enemies that will kill the player.

Thank you Konami

Hi Konami,

I’d really like to thank you for porting this game to iOS. I had great memories playing SOTN when I was still a child and I get to relive the experience again. Each time I hear Alucard say “Dark Metamorphosis” just brings it all back!

I just wanted to report that the achievements for casting all spells and getting all familiars doesn’t get unlocked despite 100% completion. Aside from that there rooms in the reverse castle particularly the caverns doesn’t show as explored although it was already explored, mainly the rooms with waters (200.6% doesn’t get unlocked). I’d also like to add that using the gravity boots doesn’t work properly despite repeated down, up + jump sequence. I hope you will still improve the game and implement bug fixes.

Thank you!

Can you adjust controls for Richter?

Suggesting to adjust control for Richter:

Instead of the slide button, i think it is better to have item crash as single button same as the original game. I have not used the slide button itself since people use to do it as down + jump. Sometimes up + special does not quickly inputs into an item crash.

Add high jump button, since inputs are on screen and not tactile.

Context: for Richter crossing spike room needs precise inputs. I am able to complete it in the original version but find it difficult to perform in the mobile version due to the above controls.
