Compliance Team Harasses Your Privacy Ok platform but you can go somewhere else
I have been trading with them for months now and you can go with some other broker. I have submitted so many personal documents that they’ve practically invaded my privacy. The compliance team will harass and badger you for personal financial documents event account activity history and payslips. The worst part is they do this underhandedly by armtwisting you. If you have a significant balance on your account that’s when they strike. They ask for so many verification documents. I have already been asked thrice in different occasions across various spans of months. Since you have a significant balance, it risks getting stuck with them until you “comply”. These compliance team guys are grade A sadists. BEWARE. Trade somewhere else.
Terrible All Round
I’ve signed up to a lot of crypto exchanges and this is one of the worst I’ve encountered.
The verification process was pretty decent but that’s the only good thing I encountered.
The deposit process is stupid. Exchanges that allow you to deposit via the faster payments bank transfer method normally have the money in your account within a few minutes. CEX takes days, bounces deposits back to your bank account with no reason, you can’t do bank transfers via the app you have to go on the website to do it.
It’s 2021 and the above is all very Stone Age. It’s shouldn’t be this hard to get money into a crypto exchange, the hard bit is usually getting it out so I’d hate to think what their withdrawal process is like.
All in all a terrible experience for me trying to use this exchange, the app isn’t very user friendly, tried contacting support and it’s none existent so I’d recommend you avoid at all costs. There’s hundreds of better exchanges out there, these guys are miles behind with their setup and processes.

Please note that we don't receive/send payments directly. Instead, we are using the services of licensed financial institutions and payment providers, which have their own requirements for payment processing.
Usually, Faster Payments transfer takes up to 24 hours to be processed. Also, withdrawals are straightforward and seamless.
We'd like to clarify that the support team can be contacted via chat at support.cex.io and there's a chat button on every CEX.IO page at the lower right-hand corner. Also, you may contact the team from the app: just go to the Profile page and tap the Support tab.
The support team processes every single query in the queue order. And although the reply is not instant, no requests are left aside.
