Ratings and Reviews
Great but please address Car Play Issues
Been using this for 3 years. App is great, access to sites needed and privacy works well. Customer Service Chat is great and assists well.
Would've rated 5 stars but Car Play Issues hasn't been solved after such a long time of the issue being present in the support forums. Car Play drops whenever Express VPN is connected, which forces user to disable VPN whenever using Car Play. Tried updates, and usual troubleshooting but issue still persists.
Nuisance is you just switch it on when you need, since it's too much to have to switch on and off whenever you get in the car.

Does not seem to be what it should be.
As a regular VPN user, I am somewhat disappointed with the bandwidth. I tried to watch netflix via ExpressVPN, but the pixilation was not bearable. I switched to one of my other VPN service provider ‘Vpn Unlimited’, and netflix worked flawlessly.
Not contented that it was ExpressVPN’s bandwidth, I then switched to my other VPN provider ‘NordVPN’, and the same results, netflix worked flawlessly.
So having 3 current VPN providers may seem to be an overkill, but in my opinion 3 is better than one.
ExpressVPN falls short of a ‘kill switch’ in this day and age. Having a high rating on websites that reviews “VPN service providers” is quite the shock.
“Vpn Unlimited”, has a kill switch in their iOS app. Not to mention the choices of protocols which include “OpenVPN”. That is my protocol of choice as also for others.
“NordVPN”, also has a kill switch in their iOS app. Although in the protocol choices in their app, “OpenVPN” is NOT available. Quite disappointed. To use “OpenVPN” with “NordVPN” in iOS you would need to use a third party app provided by the “OpenVPN” developers. A minor inconvenience to enjoy the “double data encryption” feature of “NordVPN”.
I think after the holiday season, I shall further evaluate ExpressVPN versus my needs and requirements.
As of today, I’m not convinced that the ratings these websites that review VPN providers have given the correct ratings to us regular mortals.
Been a user for a few months now
It’s in the name, one tap and you are good to go for basic settings, you are also able to pick the country of choice, although sometimes there would be a problem of connectivity(no internet connection whether it would be wifi or cell signal when connected for more than 24hrs), a restart of the phone would be the bandaid solution, hope its fixed on this end, overall it is a decent vpn, just hoping it would be a little cheaper by a tiny bit
