Fusion Heroes 12+

This is a very good game but when it comes to the farther level. Even a very easy difficulty is impossible to defeat. I like how hard the game but if you’re stuck with a poor item and you have no gems/crystal left? You’re doomed forever…

If you can somehow manage to still kill an enemy bot just as you die, it would still count as a win and you can progress on to the next bot / boss bot of the mission. Except now you don’t have a bot (spot it is normally on would be empty and you can’t shoot your weapon or fire missiles, but in return you can’t take damage as well) and all you can do is summon your minions to destroy the enemy.

Balance still needs work as enemy bots and especially boss bots would spam their special weapons which are near impossible to cancel / mitigate.

Fun. Engaging. Unique.

Fusion Heroes is a blend of simple, easy-to-understand game mechanics and effective gameplay. There’s no fluffy plot here to justify the desire to just shoot things. I’m okay with that. More games need to do that.

Fusion Heroes suffers from scaling issues, to put it simply. The early game is easy. Almost ridiculously easy. The mechanics are also easy to understand. The game attempts to alleviate this lack of difficulty by throwing higher HP and DMG values at the player. But there comes a point when raw numbers being the only way to increase difficulty just gets ridiculous.

If a single enemy can reduce me to 1/3 of my HP in one attack, that’s not the need for me to “get good”. That’s the result of bad scaling and inconsiderate development. No one seemed to stop to think that having more than 4x the HP and 3x the damage-dealing ability of the player would be too difficult. Disgaea, this is not.

Dear Developers,

This is a good game. I should not have to give it less then 4 stars. Please fix the scaling before I uninstall it.

Edit: after playing it for longer, I have come to the conclusion that the game is no longer playable at higher levels. “Very Easy” decimates me if I let the enemy attack me. The FIRST enemy takes down half my HP. After that, it’s a gamble to see if I can stun the opponent or not. That gamble works out well enough until I hit the boss.

If the boss can decimate you in one hit, that’s not tasteful design. That’s broken and stupid.
