Great App!

I really love all the features this app has to offer. I hope that they could add a “fast-scroll” or “slide” feature inside the notes though where you can hold and slide through pages (please make it white in dark mode). Some of the imports I made are text books, and because there’s a lot of pages, it’s difficult to go to the page I want quickly without scrolling. One more thing I’d like to add is to also improve the straightening feature of the highlight. I don’t know if I’m the only one with this problem, but because it is difficult to get used to the smooth surface of an iPad, more often than not my highlights become crooked from my hand slipping. If possible, please add an email recovery option for back-up as well besides icloud. I’ll change my rating to five stars once these have been considered. Thank you!

Update: Wow google drive has been used as a back-up option this is amazing thank you so much! I’d really appreciate it if you can also add an “import from google drive” feature in the import options since most of my friends and I share our materials through that and it would reduce the hassle of going back and forth between apps to download those. Thank you and keep up the great work! You all are amazing!!

I love this app!

This app has been very helpful for me as I’m studying for a career exam and just recently bought an iPad to be able to bring my notes and annotations everywhere. I love the paper selections and pretty much everything about this app and how convenient it is that it automatically backs up everything in a drive of my choice.

I have two suggestions, though:
1) I’d really appreciate if you could fix the highlighter tool for when highlighting white text on black pages so it goes behind the text like it does on light pages (I’ve read that some people on Reddit switch apps for this reason). Also,
2) the lasso tool is by far the most convenient way to take screenshots of portions of notes. However, I hope it would be possible to take screenshots with much better resolution (would HD be possible?) because it’d be awesome to export important hand-drawn diagrams to my gallery and use them for digital flashcards. The current screenshot resolution with the lasso tool doesn’t make it very useful for detailed diagrams with small labels for example. These diagrams or portions of my notes would be much more useful to me if they were clear and are of good image quality. :)

I’d appreciate if you consider these two points. Thank you very much and keep up the awesome work! You’re helping out a lot of students like me! ♥️

To Upgrade or Not to Upgrade?

I have been an avid user of Goodnotes 5 since the start of the pandemic and it has been my go-to note taking and annotating app since then. I had nothing but good things to say about the app. However, the recent choice to create Goodnotes 6 at a much steeper price point and employing a subscription method and higher one time payment price despite the current lack of features is worrying. I was willing to upgrade to Goodnotes 6 the first time I saw the notice however I think that the currently available set of features is not enough to justify the price hike. Not to mention that despite still being able to use Goodnotes 5 regardless of when they got it - users who purchased recently still get a bigger discount.

I suggest that they add more features in the future (and I know they will) but hopefully not everything has to do with AI. Implementing machine learning for specific uses as well as recognizing handwriting may not be that simple but othe features such as tape that could cover or uncover something or maybe the ability to add flash cards to notes as images could be just as useful as AI suggestions.
