Earlier, Im really having a hard time redeeming my points through *143# and 4438. I kept on receiving text “Sorry blah blah can’t be process at this time” and so on. Until Ive read the complete message and found out that there’s a link provided for me to download the app where I can redeem my points. I immediately clicked the link and it routes me to download it. Since Im already aggreviated and totally want to finished it up, Ive downloaded the app. Yes, it allows me to redeem my points. Let me say a less hassle. Suddenly, I remembered my mom who also redeem her points from Globe. She actually uses the old way which was 4438. Her, living in an area where internet is not really good, well I guess she wont be able to download that app. Also, it caused a lot of inconvenience. What if there’s an emergency where you can only depend on your points and there is no internet connection. I think it will be better if 4438 is still in function. Well, hopefully.
I cant redeem through text because they tell me to download this app and redeem it here. Then I downloaded this app and it tells me that I cant redeem what I want to redeem because of a reason that isn't true. Im not even registered to anything that’s why Im redeeming a reward but they wont let me because they say Im registered to another promo which isn't true. Another reason they say is that I have reached the max number of requests even it is the first time I requested a reward. Useless app they are getting worst. First by not letting people redeem through text anymore which is important because they might have an emergency and they dont have internet to download the app. That was before and people can still redeem through the app but now they wont even let you redeem through the app I tried redeeming on two different numbers to make sure that my number isn’t the problem.
Only carries one phone number - if you have multiple lines under your account, you can't manage all of it in one app unlike the previous version. If you want to know your rewards points, it will lead you to type BAL on your text messages. If you have GServices and you saw there your rewards point and click "Redeem", it will not automatically link you to this app. Instead, it will forward you to the App store even if you already have GRewards installed. And lastly, bill rebates is not in the app, which is what most of Globe's customers redeem their points for. In conclusion, this latest upgrade is a downgrade to the 90s and is utterly useless. I have uninstalled the app after seeing this upgrade and reading all the other reviews - confirming that it is not just I experiencing this terrible customer service. The app is just a waste of memory on your phone.
