Hero Emblems is a JRPG that mixes “Side-Scrolling beat' em up” and “Match-3” features. Set in the middle-ages fantasy world of sword-fighting and wizardry, it is an adventure of 4 brave warriors who wield different emblem powers and their attempts to stop the re-awakening of the God of Evil.

Best played in Casual Mode
The game is very entertaining and you could spend hours trying to finish even just the casual mode. I recommend avoiding the harder mode because you could get stuck because you can't beat a stage without better emblems, which you can't get unless you beat the stage. Casual mode is already challenging and fun as it is.
Best match-3 RPG ever
This is an awesome game, from the match-3 mechanics to the entertaining characters and story. The party of four you play with each has his/her own personality, from the greedy party-loving cleric to the hot-headed warrior captain. The battles have a well-crafted difficulty and tackling on bosses (even the first one) will wipe your party out if you're just matching blocks willy-nilly without any thought to strategy. Most of all, this is a premium game with no IAPs or timers. Which makes it a real game. This game also features beautifully-animated sprites, and the blow-by-blow sprite action as you match emblems, as well as the pretty map and traveling gaphics are topnotch. Recommended for lovers of match-3 puzzles and RPGs!
Meh.
It’s meh. Everything feels too cartoony. The “personality” is just too obviously just there to add a tiny bit of twist. The icons are visually a little too cluttered and confusing and the music is repetitive. Travel tme is too slow, there’s no option to make the animations play faster and everything’s just... repetitive. Still, it’s a match 3 RPG that has no IAPs and ads so, there, 2-stars I guess.
