Description

Team up and take down the opposition in Pokémon’s first 5-on-5 strategic team battle game!

Join Trainers from around the world as they head for Aeos Island to compete in Unite Battles! In Unite Battles, Trainers face off in 5-on-5 team battles to see who can score the most points within the allotted time. Teamwork is key as you and your teammates defeat wild Pokémon, level up, evolve your own Pokémon, and work to prevent the opposing team from scoring points. Put your teamwork to the test, and take home the win!

Key Features:

• BATTLE IN STYLE: Take to the field while looking your best in Holowear! Thanks to a special technology developed using Aeos energy, Trainers can deck out their Pokémon in a variety of holographic outfits—with new styles arriving regularly!

• UNITE MOVES: Unleash the true power of your Pokémon with Unite Moves! Leverage these all-new Pokémon moves, which are only possible while in Unite Battles, and turn the tide of even the direst situations.

• RANK UP: Looking to prove how skilled you are? Participate in ranked matches, and earn points as you climb up the global leaderboard!

• COMMUNICATION IS KEY: Even the most-skilled Trainers recognize how important communication is to their team’s success. Leverage signals, quick-chat messages, and—for the first time in a Pokémon title—voice chat to communicate and stay in sync with your team.

• CROSS-PLATFORM PLAY: Challenge Trainers from around the world to Unite Battles on the Nintendo Switch™ system or on a compatible mobile device thanks to cross-platform support. Trainers may use their Pokémon Trainer Club account or Nintendo Account on both Nintendo Switch and mobile to easily keep their progress synced between devices.

Not like the other Pokémon games but it’s fine

Yeah this is not the first Pokémon themed game I play I played sprite town, it was fun until I just got tired of it and can you add a feature that you can actually go to the wild and there’s a button to get there to catch Pokémon, not just grinding all day like me with only 4,000 poke-coins or something i forgot what it’s called, in the beginning of the game you get lots and I wasted mine for a sableye but it’s pretty good and cool that you get too pick your own starter Pokémon like charizard because he’s powerful (depends on how the player plays as charizard) but his unite move is pretty great but yeah the reason why I made this review is a request if you can make us go to the wild where there is some Pokémon you can catch in the future where alot Pokémon has been released and our trainer character will be finally used while tyring to catch Pokémon, thank you.

Good Concept - Unfair System

The game is definitely a breath of fresh air with its overall concept, but the matchmaking is kind of unfair. It's so hard to rank up when the players one gets teamed up with are not of the same level. Maybe the developers can narrow down the team matchmaking to make the two team fighting each other stand on equal ground. The current matchmaking system gives rise to a lot of one sided battles. About 2 to 4 minutes in the game, the match already has a high chance of being one sided. It's hard to have a comeback in this game because of this. Another problem is the lack of a chat system. I know and understand that it's to protect players from getting trashtalked, but that in itself is the problem. Players won't or can't grow if they get babied all the time. Trashtalking isn't necessary when it comes to other games or the other versions in the Pokemon franchise, but this is a competitive game. People need to be told what they're doing wrong. It's so frustrating when one of the teammates are obviously making a bad decision but you can't call them out and correct them. Yes, it's their decision to play that way, even though it's a bad plan, but others get dragged into their mess. The last thing I would like to point out is how hard it is to farm Aeos Coins to buy new Pokemon. I hope the developers do something about this.

No text chat and floods of quitters mid game

Having no text chat is a much more toxic experience than having one. Why hasn’t text chat been included to the game? Without having text chat, players believe that they could do whatever they want without being corrected of what should be done. Players constantly contest farm from the one assigned to farm that path, players (especially defenders) constantly wandering the map ignoring the fights, and teams constantly have an imbalance team composition all because those players think that they could do whatever they want since noone to correct nor to scold them. It’s a very frustrating experience to have such players not knowing what to do. Text chat is very beneficial to team’s success as it can become guidance. The game is constantly being flooded by quitters mid game. Just by the start of the game, they’re already afk. Having to deduct fair play points is not a suffice punishment for such behavior. These players wouldn’t care if they won’t receive 20 daily coins, they’d leave anyway cause it’s not a heavy punishment. It’s an unpleasant experience to have 4 out of 5 games be filled with a quitter. If they couldn’t play the game, then maybe they shouldn’t play the game. Please don’t let those who could play abandon the game because of this problem.
