Kindle is priceless for a Ranger

I am extremely old school. Switching from a physical book to Kindle was not love at first sight. But over the past two decades my Kindle app on my smartphones & notebooks has become extremely important in my traveling life. I’ve taken my Kindle library of more than 500 books around the world. My library includes books on camping, woodcraft, hunting, campfire cooking, gear, survival techniques & topics, emergency medical first aid, reloading ammo, trapping, canoeing, hiking, archery, fishing, skinning & tanning animal skins, books on my US Constitution & topics about human rights, natural rights, proper role of government, books on the American Indians, books by all the mountain men & trappers, classical books covering Aristotle, Locke, Mark Twain, Edgar Rice Burroughs, John Milton, Nietzsche, John Jay, Viktor Frankl, Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, Leo Tolstoy, Plato, Henry David Thoreau, Jules Verne, Meriwether Lewis, William Shakespeare, King James Bible, Alexandre Dumas, Arthur Conan Doyle, Ravi Zacharias, et al. My favorite writer is Louis L’Amour. My library covers a wide range of genres. Fact is more interesting to me than fiction, generally speaking. I love my Kindle library. Has enriched my life & has also helped me achieve my academic goals. Currently working on a terminal degree. My lifetime of reading has made academics much less intimidating. Thanks Kindle!

A New World Beckons: We Are Voulhire and the Power of Timeless Wisdom

I’m not usually one for fiction, and it’s been quite a while since I entrenched myself in the pages of a fantasy book—the last being The Hunger Games. So, when I picked up We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I approached it with curiosity, and I’m glad I did. The book quietly pulled me into a rich and complex world, reminding me of why fantasy, when done right, can be so engrossing. Though it’s a different genre from what I normally gravitate toward, We Are Voulhire surprised me with its intricate storytelling and world-building, even with just a few pages into it. This, in fact, is my first book review.

Books for Everyone

Kindle is the best book reading app that I have used so far. Aside from an array of options from fiction to non-fiction, especially the best and popular ones, the app provides a convenient and wonderful experience to book lovers like me. I have been reading e-books on my iPhone XS Max and iPad and the reading experience has been great. No more physical bookmarks, no hassle of carrying loads of books, no more clutter. Everything is organized, customized, and of course digitalized! You can literally bring a baggage of books anywhere at the tip of your fingertips. One day, I might even get my eyes on e-ink pages of Kindle e-book reader for an ultimate reading experience in this century. 🤟
