Almost perfect.. but few more things to improve

I’ve enjoyed CIMB for a really long time now, the service is great and the interest rates on their savings accounts are really big compared to local banks here in the Philippines. I just wished that CIMB improves more on their services, first is fund transfer, it would be so much better if CIMB can find a way for its users to transfer funds to 3rd party banks in real-time, one way that I can suggest is to utilize InstaPay, it would really be a great way for its users to transfer funds quickly without waiting for days for the transfer to be complete. Another thing that I wish CIMB would improve on is with the delivery of their debit cards, I know that once CIMB sends out the cards with their partner courier, they can no longer do anything about it, but it’s already been over a month since I received my tracking number and up until now, I haven’t received anything and I continuously call CIMB’s customers service every week but they’d just provide me with the same answer that they would follow it up with their internal team which makes me so frustrated. I know that not everyone experience this, but I do hope that CIMB improves on these. That’s all thank you.

Can’t apply new Gsave account under a new Gcash number

I changed my Gcash number since I shifted from prepaid number to postpaid line. However, I can no longer experience the perks of using GSAVE in my new GCASH number because apparently, I can only apply one GSAVE account under the same name. I called CIMB hotline and followed the necessary steps: I downloaded CIMB, changed the linked number on my account to my current phone number, and was told to wait for weeks as it undergoes service maintenance. However, after two months of waiting and two more calls, I have been told by the 3rd agent that I can no longer apply for a new GSAVE account under my new phone number despite updating my CIMB with that link. First, it’s disappointing that the it took me 3 agents for this info to be relayed. Second, I think it’s disappointing to not be able to experience the perks of Gcash and Gsave just because I have an existing Gsave account on my old number (which i no longer use). Third, I can try to use CIMB account but I’m limited since Cash-in from BPI is not available.

I really loved CIMB when I was using it on my old account and this is the first time I felt disappointed with it. I hope you can allow more banks to Cash-In in the CIMB bank and please allow reapplying of a new Gsave account with the same name. Won’t mind additional steps to prove that I am the same person. Thank you.

If you have previously linked your GSave account to the CIMB App, you will lose access to GSave via the GCash app upon change of CIMB mobile number. However, you may access your GSave account through the CIMB app. Rest assured that we are continuously enhancing our system to ensure that updating our customers’ contact numbers with CIMB will not impact their access to their GSAVE accounts.

Large savings interest

I really liked that aside from 4% interest p.a for your savings, they also care about the community and their customers. For example, 10,000 cash benefit help for their clients who will get infected by the covid virus. Also, easily donate a min. of 100 pesos to buy relief foods and help low-income families. The only thing they needed to improve is the user interface of the actual app. Since they are a digital bank, the app itself should be their benchmark against other banks who are already established. Maybe improve the fonts, the font size, the whole design of the app. For the application of loan, I wish they can make a “calculator” for the monthly due so people can gauge and choose the preferred months-to-pay and prevent getting blocked for 3 months in loaning. Lastly, I think this is already given and should not be told in feedbacks, but the customer service should always be improved no matter how you think your customer service is doing. Always look for things to improve.
