Great app! Supports lightning

I love this app as it is very user friendly and the fact that they support lightning payment.

Hard to say this provides any useful features

First of all, you must submit your ID for even 1 peso. Actually they will gladly take your funds but won’t let you use it without an ID. This is not open or permissionless and goes against the ethos of the industry. Further they will share your information with many parties. If you read their privacy policy it’s scary.

Hi briefneedle, I apologize for your bad experience. Unfortunately, it is standard for eWallets/banks in the Philippines that money can't be withdrawn until KYC is completed. We will be implementing changes in the coming weeks that prevent users from depositing before completing KYC, so that funds don't get stuck in this awkward position. We'd be happy to help you get your 1 peso back if you don't want to complete KYC -- please email support@pouch.ph. Also, we've recently updated our Privacy Notice to more accurately reflect who we share user information with (basically, we share data with our banking partner, Netbank). Best wishes.
