Good books recommendations.
This is absolutely worth it. It has bugs sometimes and it buffers which is only my pet peeve, but over-all it's still a five for me and it's affordable. And I have seen so many books that's so helpful that can help so much and so many books that I listened to,had scoped and had finished that I never knew before. Idk why this is not that famous as i thought it is. So underrated imo.💕 It's been a year since i've been using it. I just hope they bring some unavailable books back againn! I would still highly recommend !

A scam, not unlimited and books you are reading vanish
Scribd is NOT UNLIMITED READING. They use this to bait you. Once you subscribe, books will disappear from your shelf. In my case, a whopping 13 interesting books were no longer available IMMEDIATELY AFTER PAYMENT. Scribd replied telling me this basically just happens and that no refund would be forthcoming because I had already accessed other books….yep to see which ones I actually had access to.
Many people have reported the same issue. In the public forums Scribd will ask for your ticket number to make it look like they are going to get your issue “resolved”…however, in their follow up message you will get an FAQ copy paste telling you there is nothing they can do and they won’t even refund you for their scam.
For anyone with the same issue, you can contact your card company and request a chargeback. Scribd actually has to pay a dispute fee in this case and that is their Karma and may encourage them to refund in these scam cases where what was available at trial is significantly different from what is available after payment.

Overall an Okay Reading Subscription Service
I like that the subscription price is lower than its competitors. Catalog is big enough because it offers reading in different format. However, some new releases are not immediately available in any format.
Nevertheless I found some issues.
1) their search algorithm for book titles is not reliable, there are different results (and not the one I’m looking for) if I search for a book title so I end up searching Author’s name and see the Author’s books and find the book there.
2) it’s not as unlimited as I thought it is because after finishing 2 audiobooks from a series, the third book is not available to me anymore and will be available until I renew my subscription. Also some books, not just to the series I’m currently reading have become unavailable to me and will be available when I renew. And those books are available when I was just starting with my first audiobook. That is a turn off to be honest.
