Description
With “Learn German – The City of Words” the Goethe-Institut is issuing an online game for German learners at Level A1. This free game combines elements from hidden-object puzzles with both co-operative and competitive multi-player games where everyone learning German at beginners’ level can expand their vocabulary skills and compare themselves with others. Playfully presented language exercises transfer basic grammar structures of the German language. The playful approach of “Lern Deutsch – Die Stadt der Wörter” shows that learning German is not difficult at all. And it’s fun!

I love this learning app!
As an adult trying to learn Deutsch, I find this app very effective and fun! The graphics are superb, the storyline putting in context the new words that will be learned helped me retain many German words. Adding games (both the collaborative and the competitive types) is for me a stroke of brilliance! Really helped me remember the spelling of words and I was able to monitor my progress in the instant recognition of names of pictures through the scores. I hope you continue making this app available. I’m willing to watch ads if only to keep this app available in the App Store. Keep up the good work, guys!
