NICE GAME BUT..
I've updated my MacOS and it doesn't work now. I've been playing these for years please update this game so it'll be compatible. Thank you

Don't need to stress about the older reviews. After the macos that "broke" the game, the developers quickly fixed it.
Anyway, very enjoyable game. I'm sad that Aspyr wasn't given the chance to port the last few expansions, but the game is still fun even without them. Easy to mod -- just follow Aspyr's instructions. I'm disappointed that they removed the option to reset the game from the startup menu, but, again, there are instructions to do so on their website. Still, the option was very neat if I wanted a fresh start.
I've never had a crash. No game-breaking bugs or anything noticeable. Of course, SIms 2 was a broken game from the day it was created, so any glitches will show their ugly faces eventually.
Overall, it's a very well-rounded game with decent support considering how old it is. Plays brilliantly on MacOS.
recent macOS updates
hi there, ive been playing sims 2 on my mac for i think 4 or 5 years now but ever since the latest macOS update it's been crashing a lot more as compared to before --probably more than 8 now--when it crashed once or twice probably due to my laptop being tired or a game bug. I noticed it's usually when I play with residential lots that have big houses like the goths or even houses i built. The first few times i witnessed the crashes i was hoping that maybe it autosaved but it didnt; i lost so much progress and it just made me want to quit for good. please try to fix this :( we love the game so much
