Fitness can feel faceless. What works for one person won’t necessarily work for the other - you need a personalised approach.

8fit takes that personalised approach and puts it in your pocket: it’s a workout and nutrition app that devises a bespoke programme for every user. Enter your vital stats - age, height, weight, current body fat estimate and desired body fat estimate, and your current levels of activity - then pick a goal, to lose fat, get fitter or gain muscle mass. The cogs will whirr and produce a plan.

Lastly, just decide if you want your fitness journey to be easy, medium or hard: easy keeps it gentle - a few workouts a week, orbiting around your meal plan, whereas hard will have you in the gym most days, and sticking strictly to your nutrition regime.

Afraid that’s the easy part, though: now it’s time to actually smash a workout. Moves are rooted in HIIT, high intensity interval training, and you won’t need any specialist equipment. Tap Start and you’ll be guided through the moves that target a specific area, like the core or glutes. You’ll get an estimated calorie count and detailed instructions for posing up the moves. Turn on notifications and there’s no way to shirk your responsibilities.

In the meantime, there’s also your meal plan, recipes devised by trained nutritionists and which cover your full complement of protein, fat and carbs. Add them to the in-app shopping list to keep all your goals in one place.
