Put windows in their places

Too many windows cluttering your screen? Magnet lets you precisely reposition them with a key press or by dragging, making it easy to place them side by side (or however you want to arrange them). Here’s how.

With Magnet installed, resizing a window to fill half your display (or a third or quarter of it) is as easy as dragging it to the edge or corner of your screen. When the window hits the hot spot, you’ll see a preview of the resized window. Release and the window instantly snaps into place.

You can also use Magnet’s keyboard shortcuts to reposition windows systemwide without interrupting your flow. For example, press Control-Option along with the Right Arrow key to snap the current window to the right half of the screen.

There are even shortcuts for moving a window to a different display, centring the window on the screen or restoring the window’s original position.
