Description
日本では、江戸時代まで不定時法という、夜明けの始まり（明け六つ）と日暮れの終わり（暮れ六つ）を基準とした時法を使っていました。
それは、太陽とともに暮らす人間にとっては、とても理にかなった生活でした。
西洋から定時法による機械式時計が入ってきたとき、江戸時代の日本人は、その時計を自分たちが使っている、不定時法に従って動くように作り変えてしまいました。それが「和時計」です。
その中でも、不定時法に合わせて昼の長さと夜の長さを変えてしまうことができる和時計を「二挺天符式和時計」といいます。
天符という、振り子のようなものをふたつ使って、機械仕掛けで時計の進み方を変えるからくりを作っていました。
このアプリはその「二挺天符式和時計」を手軽に体験してもらえるように作っています。
夜明けと日暮れのおおよその時刻を調べるために、GPSの機能を使用しております。
