Application that measurement of physical fitness, exercise ability became easy by familiar using smartphone "Hacaro (Hacaro)" series!
From the "Hacaro" series, an application to measure "Timed Up and Go Test (TUG)" was born.
iTUG i means Instrumented, that is, measurement with an instrument.

The “Timed Up and Go Test (TUG)” is a widely used test as a quantitative assessment of functional mobility in medical and nursing care settings.

The subject holds the iPhone in the abdomen, stands in a chair, stands up with the voice of the start from the iPhone, turns the cone 3 m ahead, rotates 180 ° back in front of the chair, and sits as soon as possible.

Using the iPhone's accelerometer and gyroscope, data in three axis directions is recorded every 0.01 seconds and analyzed using a proprietary algorithm.

This application was developed from the iPhone application "SENIR Quality". (Digital Standard Inc., Osaka, Japan).
We created the "iTUG Score" as a new universal measure to assess gait.
This score is calculated from the volume of 95% confidence ellipsoid of iTUG time and 3D acceleration time series data.
This score has been verified to be reliable and relevant, and is a universal measure for assessing gait.
