mProfile dient zur direkten Übermittlung von Schneeprofildaten (vereinfachte Profile: hasty pits) aus dem Gelände. Die App bietet die Möglichkeit zur Eingabe des Resultates des erweiterten Säulentests (ECT) und der Schichteigenschaften (Kornformen, Korngrössen und Härten) der Schneedecke an einem bestimmten Ort. Die Daten können visualisiert werden.
