But PCalc is well more than the sum of its parts; this beautifully designed utility is filled with high-powered features and functions that will appeal to everyone from engineers to programmers to students going to, well, pre-calc. If you’re a fan of scientific notation, trigonometry, and/or unit conversion, add this to your home screen.

A very good calculator
I am using pCalc for more than a month and find it a very functional and useful. I started looking for a good calculator as soon as I switched to iPhone from my Windows mobile. The default calculator which comes with iPhone does not have a backspace key and basically I was looking only backspace functionality. I found pCalc lite's layout very attractive and convenient to use. Another big advantage was availability of RPN. After using it for couple of days I purchased its full version and am very pleased with it. It lets me set two default modes of calculators, one for portrait and one for landscape, which I find very helpful. I especially like its unit conversion interface which is very practical. pCalc allows you to choose from different layouts which are well thought out and will fit most user’s requirements.
My only observation with this application is that AC Button should not clear memory contents because in almost all layouts MC Button is separately available. I have requested this feature and author has promptly agreed to do something about it, which accounts for a very good support from the author.
