The wind whispers, birds trill and cicadas chatter… Wild Journey is a meditation app set in the great outdoors, complete with a chorus of creatures who will help you to achieve a state of zen.

You can choose to create your own freeform meditations set to different soundscapes. In Great Grove, for instance, rain falls onto the tree branches in constant rhythm, the wind yowls and boughs creak. In the Ruby Wetlands, birds sing a high-pitched song as water laps gently at the shore. On the Gold Coast, waves roar and crash.

Set the timer for anything between two minutes and eight hours, select either a guided or unguided meditation and then sit back, relax and decompress.

You can also use Wild Journey to embark on one of its “experiences”: meditation programmes completed over several days. For example, Rise with Sun involves six days of guided meditations of between six and nine minutes.

Start the day with an episode: learn to visualise your day and control your breathing. Programmes are pitched at general wellbeing, as well as at more specific goals including better sleep, gratitude and letting go.
