Nice app
Almost perfect!
The app is almost perfect! It has many different sections like definitions, learners (definition in simple words), synonyms, and even rhymes (not for all, but for the majority of words). However, there are some flaws.
- There is no way to navigate back/forward. If you are reading a definition of one word and accidentally click on, you cannot go back easily. You need to search for the word again. Surprisingly, the iPhone version has a "back" arrow within a search box, but I mostly use the iPad version. :(
- Thesaurus needs some love. The online (website) version has a feature to sort synonyms alphabetically or by relevance. Unfortunately, in the iPad (and iPhone) version this feature is missing! If you are a learner of the English language, like me, you end up with a handful of words, without any clue which one is the most relevant, because synonyms are sorted alphabetically.
- Please, please... I'm begging you! Add a feature to send word from a "Share" button. There is an enormous amount of situations where I need to check a word found on a website. Instead of copying it we could just click "Share" and send it to the dictionary.
- There is a bug with tabs. For some reason, sometimes it doesn't mark tab as active even when a word has a particular type of information (for example "Learners").
