Bugs but great app
Discord is easy to use. It has got many required functions. There are bugs, though. For example always selecting the same microphone, even if you have more. It chooses the one that doesn’t work. The functions that reduce background noise reduce your voice as well. If discord could be patched up a bit, it would be perfect, flawless.
Problems with the new update
Since the new discord update I’ve been having a lot of problems with calling, like when you mute your microphone and I mute after it just keeps being muted until you rejoin the call. I’m not the only one who has this problem since everyone I’ve called on discord has it too. Also the button to put people on speaker is so much smaller now and harder to press and sometimes it doesn’t even work so you have to go to change output and change it there which is just annoying. Also when you turn ur camera its in some square and you don’t even fully see until u put it on full screen which is dumb especially since it’s also a really small button hard to press because if u press the speaker button appears and you have to literally fight to press the full screen one😭. The whole colored background looks disgusting while you call and why are the icons of profiles in some squares now. The app is 13+ but yet you decide to make it look so childish? The problem I had and a few other ppl I know is that you can see a notification from DMs or servers and when u press on it it doesn’t show the message until u restart the whole app, also sometimes I don’t get notifications from dms it’s also super annoying. The new layout is only making people mad bring the old one back please I’ve been paying for nitro for 2 years but the new layout and how much problems it causes makes me reconsider😭
Great but hacker friendly
Discord is an amazing app to meet new people and pursue your interests. I like hanging out with my friends there since it’s a comfy app. The new layout is pretty bad and I did prefer the old one since it was easier to understand and navigate through. Besides that I recently got h4cked on my main account. I lost the access to the cheaper nitro that I had because of keeping my subscription since the change of price. I lost everything I had on an account of 3 years. I opened tickets I wrote everywhere mail and twitter support but I got no response. If you do not have the 2FA you can get h4cked just by simply getting recognized or targeted by a h4cker. Turn the 2FA on and make sure it’s up to date at all times. Test yourself if you can log in quickly because the h4ckers just change the 2FA to their own phone numbers and apps and you’ve lost your account forever. I did make a new account that’s true but I will never be buying nitro again and I’ll make sure for my friends to know before buying as well. Discord doesn’t care about you if you don’t have nitro. It’s like a pay to win game but to talk to people.
