Just #drive!

One of the greatest games to play on your phone! It’s beautiful, it’s fun and there is lot of things do do and unlock for free! Only one little request for devs - pls add at least panel in menu where you can find little info (eg. for new players) - from where you can take postcards, list of powerups you can find etc. And if those infos could show up there in a achievment manner (you find sth in game - you could read about it in menu)... Oh boy - that will be awsome :)

Shell of its former self

Recent updates changed the game for much worse. Years ago, the game used to be quite simple and fun: just drive, as the title suggested. The UI has been overcomplicated and lost its intuitive charm, leaving the art direction muddied. The garage is bloated with tons of cars. It took me a while to figure out how to repaint my car as I had to interact with a background object that’s not even in the garage for some reason. Some features have been cut. It’s gotten harder to earn currency and fun side quests that let you unlock special cars have been removed, now everything is purchasable all the same with no variety, likely to push micro transactions. Car upgrades have been simplified and cannot be rolled back from what I’ve seen. There are now many more ads and micro transactions littering the entire game, making it resemble any other p2w mobile game, which I’m very disappointed by, as the simplistic gameplay loop is still mostly there and not befitting of such aggressive monetization, erasing the reason why I liked it in the first place. Returning to this game, I saw that most of my progress has been erased. I will not be re-earning it this time, as it’s no longer nearly as enjoyable and fun as before. Guess corporate greed got to these devs, as well. A pity.

Great game with little quirks

The game is really one of the best among automotive ones - graphic and track design is flawless - simple but sharp and effective, sound and music is on spot, adding to really great climate. Humoristic additions are also nice touch! Another nice thing are consistent little updates - the devs seems to care very much for their product! Gameplay is overall enjoyable and not overly cognitive demanding, which is very good considering the mobile games as „time killers” - in the end you just... #DRIVE 😉

The quirks (IMHO):
1. There is some grinding, like everyone could expect from mobile game, but the price for cutting it isn’t very big and totally acceptable - yet, it’s still there. If making money would be a little faster, game would be even more enjoyable, because every time you’d make some visible progress. Maybe something like „bonus earnings” for the first „x” rides every day would be a simple solution?
2. Lack of tilt controls makes game more difficult at start. I’d really love to see it implemented in new updates.
3. Customisation, or I’d rather say - upgrades are nice addition, but instead of adding many new cars maybe developing this aspect could be a nice direction? I’d love to see alternative „Cool” skins for many cars!

Overall, I found #DRIVE a really enjoyable, fun mobile game and I greatly admire work of the developers. Keep it up!
