The Spice must flow!
I purchased Dune: Imperium within the first hours after its release on the AppStore, and it has exceeded all my expectations. This digital version is a fantastic embodiment of the original board game, boasting impressive graphics, an intuitive interface, and a smart AI that provides a challenging yet enjoyable gaming experience. The developers have announced plans to introduce the Rise of X expansion in the summer of 2024, further enriching the game’s content and replayability. For this, it undoubtedly deserves a 5-star rating.
A slight aside, I initially bought the Mac version on Steam a week ago, only to discover the iOS release shortly after. Despite having to purchase the game twice, I have no regrets. Being able to engage in a match while on the move or waiting in line on my smartphone is a convenience that’s hard to overstate. Reducing the game’s rating for this reason never crossed my mind. The Spice must flow!
Very nice conversion of a board game
Online games work without a problem which is the most important thing. I had no issues with multiplayer so far. AI is suprisingly hard and season skirmishes with single player challenges are nice addition to this great game.
Where are expansions?
Giving it a five star rating because it’s a great port of a board game. However it does feel incomplete without expansions. It’s a must have same in root!
