I’ve been using Evernote premium for the last 8 years or so. I loved it in the beginning now I only like it. Generally it’s a great app that lets me store my notes from last 8 years - I use it daily. What started to bother me is lagging sync between devices and strange results when I search for a note - they used to be better. Overall 4,5/5. I’d love to see implementation of tasks like in asana cause what we get now is very basic.
Well, for unexplained reasons, Evernote has stopped syncing from within the Windows app. Consequently, I logged on to the website in search of some contact where someone could help me. Suddenly I found that I had exceeded my device limit, precisely because of this browser login. Well, in view of this, I deleted access for the browser. After some time, I turned on the app on my phone, and continued to get the message about the exceeded device limit. I deleted the same browser a second time, only to get the same message a while later on the computer. Unfortunately, despite deleting twice, the browser is still there, except that now I get a message that I can't delete any more devices this month (which I think is sick)I love Evernote, but these practices are so low that I don't understand why I would want to pay for a higher package. I was generally planning to do this, but now I'd rather switch to Pages unless this can be resolved sensibly.
I wanted to review some old notes that I had created (within the limits of the plan that had been functioning by that time). It appeared that I need to change notebooks assigned to some of these notes, so different notebooks would describe them better. I didn’t want to create ANY NEW NOTES, just needed minor adjusments for old ones. And what happened? I could do nonthing without paying. Paying for sth that I already received for free. Even if I pay now, I can expect they will suddenly force me to pay even more again for something already paid for. You don’t negotiate with terrorists. We need to run away with our notes before they charge us to access it!!!
I came back after ~10 years to my old, free account that still had some old notes. After asking me to create a few random notebooks with plans, grocery’s and other things it said I need to upgrade to premium because apparently I breached the limit of 50 notes and 1 notebook… I deleted all those notebooks (they offered to create in the first place!) and was left with my original one and 20-30 notes I left a decade ago. I still see the error and couldn’t find a reason for the message. Well, I heard this app was still a thing so I gave it a try. After today, thanks a lot, I’ll be staying with my regular notes app.
I’m using Everote for more than 10 years, and I must admit, the app becomes more and more useful in my day to day life! I use it for work, study and real life cases all the time. Nice and clear UX/UI , constant improvements and very fast introduction of new features! The only thing I would change is the BELARUSIAN language! On my IPad I have completely nice Belarusian in app interface, but on the iPhone somehow there is no such language :/ please add it!
You working all night to finish project on evernote via web or pc and just imagine that is enough to open this program as iPad app to destroy every layout of your note and lose all pictures and attachments. Constantly need to export and import backups. In the road this is very... I used evernote for 3 years with very positive feeling. After last months completely no trust for data in that program. This is my last premium subscription for that. 1/5 due unpredictability of app. Also during recording important seminars as audio, program just stopped sometimes with losing all important data. Completely none responsibility of developers for them customers.
