You deserve a better internet.
Firefox is a fast, private web browser designed to protect you by default. Privacy is built in from the start, so you can focus on what matters instead of worrying about who’s watching.
Why people choose Firefox:
• Enhanced Tracking Protection – Blocks trackers by default to help stop companies from following you across the web.
• Private browsing mode – Browse without saving your history, searches, or cookies.
• Page summaries – Get the key points from long pages and move on faster.
• Built-in password manager – Generate strong passwords, save them securely, and autofill logins when you need them.
• Flexible search options – Choose your default search engine or switch search engines right from the search bar.
• Reader Mode – Remove ads and clutter from articles so you can focus on what you’re reading.
• Sync across devices – Pick up where you left off with synced tabs, bookmarks, and passwords when you sign in to your Mozilla account.
Private by default
Firefox is designed with privacy built in from the moment you start browsing. Enhanced Tracking Protection automatically blocks common background trackers, including social media trackers, crypto miners, and fingerprinters. When you want extra privacy, private browsing mode doesn’t save your history, searches, or cookies.
Focus on what matters
The web can be distracting. Firefox is designed to help you stay focused without making you manage everything yourself. Reader Mode clears clutter from articles, and picture-in-picture keeps videos visible while you multitask—without pulling focus from what you’re doing.
Browse your way
Customise Firefox to fit how you browse. Personalise your home screen with wallpapers and layout options, and choose your preferred search engine instead of being pushed into a single ecosystem.
You can move the search bar to the top or bottom of the screen for easier one-handed browsing. Sign in to your Mozilla account to sync tabs, bookmarks, passwords, and browsing history across devices, so switching feels seamless.
Built for people, not profit
Firefox was created in 2004 by Mozilla as a faster, more private, and more customisable alternative to other browsers. Today, Mozilla remains a non-profit and continues working to make the internet — and the time you spend on it — better.

I use Firefox on many different devices including Mac and PC. After trial and error it is always the best choice for my software engineering tasks. Stable and with many useful extensions, including DRM content, it is like a Swiss Army knife. There are many browser choices nowadays including specialized and niche. If you are not sure what you need exactly the Firefox is a good start.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience being a Firefox user!
I've tried, nope, not even close to daily usage browser
Amadeusz Juskowiak
All the browsers on iOS/iPadOS are just UX around Safari engine, sure fair enough. So I did an experiment, let me use firefox as default on my phone and tablet, because I'm looking forward to seamless sync with my browser on my Linux machine (Firefox there is great!). Nah. SO MANY ANNOYING THINGS compared to Safari, automatic passwords do not sync, autogenerated passwords are not sitting in keychain... The tab/url view is sometimes stuck and I cannot change tabs or open new page, until I kill FF once or twice, or three times. You cannot change the engine, so the only thing is UX - why the heck website suggestion when typing in url/search field is so bad!? Why do you recommend me funky websites that I indeed visited, stayed for 1s, instead of recommending websites that I daily go to? It's a burning potato, not recommended, thought I can have nice cross-OS integration, but it barely works.

Utterly useless without extensions
ajesTHEhacker
I genuinely don't understand the point of using Firefox on iOS. The entire reason millions of us stick with Firefox on desktop is for the freedom to use extensions, especially reliable ad blockers. Yet, on the iOS version, we are given absolutely nothing and left completely defenseless against the nightmare of modern web ads. Browsing the internet on this app is an unbearable, cluttered experience.I know Apple has strict rules for browser engines, but Safari supports extensions and browsers like Brave have built-in ad blocking. Why is Mozilla lagging so far behind? Without a proper ad blocker, this browser is essentially a joke. It’s a huge disappointment, a shadow of its desktop counterpart, and an instant uninstall. I'll come back when you actually give us a reason to use it.

Hello! We don't have ad-block extensions available in Firefox for iOS due to Apple restrictions, but we have a feature called Enhanced Tracking Protection that helps reduce targeted ads. You can read more about this here: https://mzl.la/3HaVIAf. If you wish to share more about how we can improve this feature, you can do so by posting your idea to our feedback site at https://mzl.la/sumo-connect - I
Lag
Xodvrvp
Very often I get weird lag when trying to view opened tabs. When opening tab view indicator existing during clicking button freezes until tab view opens (very long, sometimes never and only restart helps). It's weird because only this feature freezes and I can do anything before tab view finally opens, browse internet, bookmarks, settings etc. Tab count is not the problem, tried fresh install and this still happens with only a few tabs opened.
Behind-the-scenes updates to keep your browsing steady, smooth, and responsive.
