Forest: Focus for Productivity 4+

This app saves my life at work every other day. I’m prone to picking my phone up to reply to an important text, only to wake up half an hour later scrolling through Facebook. Forest allows me to focus, have one distraction less, and with an incentive that feels worthwhile. Also the new function that allows you to get coins after your tree has grown, but you didn’t have time to pick it up? Makes me focus longer.
All in all, if you have any concentration problems, give Forest a try.

Nice but doesn't work good enough

The whole idea is great but it shouldn't be so strict on your mobile - after all, you sometimes need access to your calendar or other mobile app that doesn't distract you, but you need it really for work. I think that it should be made with black and white list of the apps that you want to be blocked or still accessible. It would be much more reasonable.

I also have safari extension which would be totally useful if it really worked as it supposed to. In practice, it works once or twice as it should and later it doesn't stop counting at all. I've been testing it for three days now and it's still the same. Even today, I opened my Mac after the whole night and there is still "leave me alone" status. To refresh it I must restart the Mac because there is no other way to make it move. Just after I restart Mac, I get the notification that the tree has grown.

If it keeps happening, I'll have to uninstall this extension, because I can't restart my computer several times a day just because of that. Which really would be bad because I like the system and psychologically - I admit that it really works.

Hello,
Due to the limitation of the iOS system, we cannot determine what app the user is currently using. Therefore we cannot implement the whitelist feature for the iOS version. As a workaround, we built a "Work with Phone" feature, which can be enabled in the settings page. This feature enables users to use work related apps during their planting periods, but users will have to be honest with themselves when using this feature.

The trees planted with this feature enabled will not be counted towards the leaderboard, and users will only receive half the reward if they exit Forest during the planting period.

Currently, the whitelist feature cannot be implemented for iOS. If you see features similar to whitelist on other apps, please let us know so that we may figure out how it was implemented.

As for the problem of Safari extension, please do contact us in-app and provide us with the screenshots or details of the problem so that we could further investigate this issue r for you! Truly awesome!

This app helps me to stay focused on work or whatever I do (I use it also for undisturbed study, reading books and drawing sessions). I used to keep distracting while work, checking social media, online stores etc. Now I have my timer on and whenever I think of checking something else, I just remember that clock is ticking and move my mind back into work. It’s really simple, silly tree, but works amazing. With this help I also work better - instead of doing something 6h I am done in 3h. Really, money well spent.
