Ratings and Reviews
Useful app, needs minor improvements
I use the app on regular basis. I find it very useful. I would like to suggest some improvements. Unfortunately I didn’t find any option to send my feedback through the app so I decided to the comment in the App Store.
First of all, please add standard buttons in the input fields to delete all the content with just one click. I always change the name of the activity from default to my own. Every time I do it I have to place the focus I the field and the delete every character, one by one, by pressing the backspace button. In modern front-ends there are dedicated buttons in the right side of the input fields. After you click, all the content is deleted.
I would also be grateful if you added a feature allowing to change the gear assigned to the activity by default. I have a couple of running shoes and I change them between a runs. There is no option in the app to change the default gear and you have to log in to the garmin connect website which is not so friendly on mobile device.
App works really great, but Garmin's Mentalist needs to listen
I have been a Polar user for 16years, eventually switching to Garmin in 2017. I use Garmin Fenix, Edge 1030plus, Pro heart rate strap, Varia and Varia RCT... Overall I find the integration extremely good, with App working well between devices and integrating all data...
I would appreciate Garmin to work on one feature to integrate various excercises into "one effort" or simply base daily goal on calories consumption. I find it ridiculs when after completing 150km ride and burning 3000kcal - Garmin prompts me to move and then shows that "I have not achieved daily excercise goal".... I don't need a prize - but that is really demotivating and frustrating. Polar does it better, so does Apple Watch...
I know Garmin is way more professional, and I will continue using the devices but that user friendliness needs to be looked into... Really... And USB C - common Garmin - we all know you can do it...
Love it but there are some minor things
This app made me running seriously. The gamification concept behind is fantastic. I love all the functionalities and would definitely purchase Garmin only for the app. There are actually 2 minor things that are disturbing and this goes to training section with coaches. Half of the world is using metric system - what’s wrong with you guys to calculate a pace in minute per mile 🫣 I have no idea how fast is it. Secondly - language. Some time ago I switched my phone to Swedish in order to help someone and then later I switched that back - all the app is now in my language apart from trainings. All activities’ descriptions and everything related to new activities is in Swedish 😬. Before I go to run I have to open translator to understand- and it’s not tribal when you have to run intervals and hills up and down. Come on - is this app going to train me in languages or in running 🥺. Serious glitch.
