Poor UX
With every update Grindr gets more annoying. This time, opening the app shows the privacy policy and the screen to accept or reject cookies (if the selection works we will never know). It would be ok to have it one time. But now every time the app launches, the screen is shown.
Maybe the company wants to include the option to save this setting on the paid subscription (as many other simple features).
Honestly. I use this app less often than ever before. And is very unfortunate that people keep using this as the “only” option to meet gay guys. Disappointing!
Banned phone number for no reason
Well, after trying to re-register my profile got information that my PRIVATE phone number has been banned while I have never carried any illegal activity in Grindr out when was using this account and deleted it voluntarily.
That looks really ridiculous and disappointing as it is so easy to impersonate a person in your app while people not being involved in any harmful activities get such information with no possibility to register an account.
So I suppose that safety is definitely not a priority in this app.
