Ground News is the world’s first news comparison platform that will help voters make better-informed decisions, drawing from more than 40,000 news sources worldwide and featuring an average of 30,000 news stories per day.

Also, included in the Mac app is our new Safari extension. Try out Ground News Bias Checker for Safari. Whenever you read a news article, our browser extension will show you who else is covering the same news story and compare how other sources from all across the political spectrum are reporting on it.

About Ground News subscriptions purchased within the Ground News app:

• Subscription renews annually, and you'll be able to manage this subscription in your App Store account under the 'Ground News' subscription
• Payment will be charged to your App Store Account on confirmation of purchase
• Your membership subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period
• Membership subscriptions can be managed and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to your Account Settings after purchase

Doesn't make sense

Who the author thinks he is to be the oracle saying which media is left, right or center? How do you define the center? Why do you divide people just into left and right? There are many aspects impossible to solve so please remember you are subjected to the author judgement about qualifying news companies as left or right.

Hi Tobol, I am sorry about your disappointment with the bias ratings on the app. We know we aren't the arbiters of truth, so we've sourced our bias ratings from 3 third-party organizations that are dedicated to rating bias in the media. You can learn all about our methodology here: https://about.ground.news/about-bias-ratings. As a bias rating app, providing the most reliable information possible is incredibly important to us. We are a small team of 11, but as we expand we can begin incorporating other measurements of bias in the media. The left-right scale is to simply provide more context where there previously was none, giving readers the tools they need to think critically and come to their own decisions.
