Home Assistant Companion requires a configured Home Assistant instance. The instance must use Home Assistant Cloud or be accessible from the Internet and secured with a valid, non self-signed, SSL certificate for location tracking. Basic notifications work without external access.

What a great app!
I love Home Assistant and that it allows to integrate so many services. I don’t have to tie myself to any particular solution and I can keep my data offline vs someone else’s cloud. The iPhone app offers a great experience, looks amazing and one can tweak the visuals the way they want to. I only wished it refreshed a bit quicker but not sure if something can be done about it.

Home Assistant is the most robust home automation platform that integrates huge amount of "smart" appliances into one solution. That's indeed THE ONE to rule them all ;)
Great mobile app which supports lots of iOS features (that I didn't know even existed). I love it! Great job guys!
