Sometimes Bluetooth disconnects but no issue with connectivity in general

I downloaded this app but I can't use it at all.
Both email and phone (called "OPTIONAL") forms are mandatory. And you can't see the phone number form on the screen, you have to enter the email address, click "Done" and only then your keyboard shows you that you're entering your phone number next. Again, "OPTIONAL" phone number. But you can't continue without it because the form is invalid then.
And also the password form is wrong, as the description asks for just 1 numeric character, but won't let you proceed with no less than 2.

I’ve installed the app, agreed to some things but refused all the ones I don’t need – for example location services when I’m not using the app. Now I can’t connect my dryer, because the app tells me it’s necessary. I’m not quite sure, whether tricking me into switching it on is legal in the EU. Even if it is,It encroaches a step too far on my privacy. Worse, the manual attached to the dryer says that I can only use a single instance of the app. How inconvenient is that?
