iOS 16 version worse than before

The latest version is much worse than the previous ones. I don’t like the new interface, it’s much more difficult to skip to different pages or search a book (pulling down was much easier than finding the search button in the menu). And even turning a page isn’t as smooth as it used to be: sometimes I need to repeat the gesture three times before the page turns. These are only some of the worse new “features” of this version. I hope they change them soon.

Can’t double tap to bookmark anymore

I love the Apple Books app, I’ve been reading books on it for many years now. But recently one feature disappeared that is making it harder to use. I used to be able to double tap while reading a book and it would bookmark that page, and now I have to click the little menu at the bottom right and bookmark from there. I know some people didn’t like it but for many it was a very convenient feature. Maybe adding an option in settings to use it or not could be a solution?
