Connection issues

App is great, but there are some connection issues. I’m playing on strong 500mbps internet connection, using 5GHz WiFi. Definitely strong enough for online chess. Anyway I get disconnected multiple times a day. Waiting for opponents move, but nothing happens. In fact I’m seeing the board but game has already been “abandoned” on the server side. Happened 3 times today. And yesterday, and day before yesterday. It happens every single day. I don’t buy expaintions that it’s the fault of my internet connection. I play a lot of online games, much more demanding than chess, like online shooters, or even cloud gaming and everything works perfectly.

Everything great except the “connection lost” bug

The app is amazing and I really enjoy to challenge myself with puzzles, however it’s infuriating having “the connection was lost” pop up every time I spend more than 30 sec in a puzzle and it restarts.
There are ppl complaining about this in the site forums for like more than 2 years.
Can we try to fix this on iPad?

Thank you for having great and well curated resources for chess beginners like me.

Developer Response ,

90% of players are using cheats.

It can be frustrating to witness a majority of players resorting to cheating, especially when the system fails to effectively detect them. The cheating process often begins with players initially playing innocently, only to later employ cheats partially or entirely. This makes it challenging for the system to accurately identify the cheaters. In comparison, platforms like Lichess have implemented better measures to combat cheating.

Developer Response ,

Hello! Cheat detection is one of our very highest priorities at Chess.com, since the game of chess depends on fair play. Using proprietary algorithms, each month we analyze hundreds of millions of games and close thousands of accounts. You can report a suspicious player by tapping on their avatar!
