Description

KTNA’s mission is to enrich and connect the communities of the Upper Susitna Valley in Alaska through informational and cultural programming. For people who call the Susitna Valley home, even for a weekend, KTNA is the only media organization that provides local voice and perspective because our staff and volunteers live in and care about the communities we serve. KTNA presents a wide variety of programming twenty-four hours every day, drawing from National Public Radio, Alaska Public Radio Network, and other national and independent program distributors. Beyond national news and cultural programs, KTNA offers local news, educational and informative programming, music with local DJs, and emergency broadcast services.

With the KTNA 88.9FM app you can live stream the broadcast, listen on demand to news stories, featured local programs, and podcasts, and more:

• You can receive notifications about new podcast episodes, news stories, featured programs, and/or emergency alerts (click on Settings).
• When streaming the live broadcast, hit the pause button if needed, and when you hit play again, the stream will pick up right where you left off.
• When there is an emergency in the Susitna Valley, like earthquakes, floods, and wildfires, you can read emergency alerts from KTNA news staff to keep our community informed and safe.
• Catch up on local news, even when you’re away from the Susitna Valley, by reading and listening to news stories and Su Valley Voice.
• Listen to all episodes from The Blue Tarp, KTNA’s podcast about life in the Susitna Valley, and new podcasts that KTNA is developing.
• Listen to episodes of featured KTNA programs that highlight our talented community, like Susitna Writer’s, StarDate Susitna, and Rising Readers.
• Convenient links will take you to KTNA’s popular Announcements and Denali Echoes on ktna.org.
• Access the KTNA Program Schedule and an archive of all local programs from the past two weeks on ktna.org.
