Almost nailed it
After two years with AirMail I switched to Outlook. I must admit it's far more convenient and useful. When it comes to business correspondence, texting with blog owners about new articles and sharing them, so they can be published, partaking in photo contests, and more I find it really convenient because of good message rendering, simple, yet not intrusive design, and overall simplicity. Good sync with the PC version also comes in handy.
What I don't like is that the app takes several seconds to start and requires frequent relaunches after switching to another app. Not sure if it's the OS problem, or the app, but it's irritating.
One thing AirMail nailed far better than Outlook is contact images. This app doesn't show them, instead it shows letters, e.g. for Tom Brown it would be TB. Hope it can get better in near future.
I wanted to switch to outlook from standard iOS apps. Unfortunately a lot of features is missing in outlook. There’s no tasks and notes syncing between desktop’s outlook. In calendar you can’t set eg private appointment. Sounds are very short and quiet thus do not play their real reminder role. I’ve missed some meeting because of that. They is a mysterious button that show priority mails and others. I’ve no idea how it works. Graphics and interface is not bad. Also views on calendar. But it’s not enough. Worst thing is that it does not support encryption. Overall, I’ve removed and keep using Apple’s standard apps again
Getting worse and worse.
After having used it for two years I think I’ll switch back to Apple Mail. The latest updates have diminished the performance of the app. Occasionally, I just can’t do anything jug but wait until it unfreezes. It takes long seconds to load, even after switching between apps. After using the app the phone gets hotter. Only after this app. This has been going on for a while. And while I have been waiting patiently for an appropriate update, I can’t take it any more. I’m done.
