Mobile Diffusion uses the Stable Diffusion v2.1 model to power its AI-based image generation. Thanks to CoreML optimization, it’s up to 2x faster than other image generation apps. It requires just a one-time download of the 4.5 GB model to work offline, and then you can use it anytime, anywhere.

With the ability to specify both positive and negative prompts, you can fine-tune your image output to suit your needs. Sharing your generated images is easy, and the app is completely free to use.

This app was made for research and development purposes only. The goal was to demonstrate the ability to run a diffusion model on a mobile device with acceptable performance. This was achieved thanks to Core ML optimization.

The app is privacy-focused. Mobile Diffusion keeps all your data on your device, with no sensitive information stored or shared online.

KNOWN ISSUES
There are known issues with the app that users should be aware of. The app may crash during image generation due to the high usage of device resources, especially if there are other high-priority apps running in the background. We recommend closing background apps and rebooting the device if this happens.

If you switch to another app during image generation, iOS might terminate Mobile Diffusion. This happens because the app uses device memory to its current limits.

If your device gets warm, it can take longer than the expected 1 minute to generate an image. We recommend you close any apps that use a lot of resources and wait for the device to cool off. If it takes longer than 3 minutes to generate an image, rebooting the device can help.

The image generation process requires a lot of energy, so it will use a considerable amount of your battery capacity if it’s not plugged into a charger. The process can fail if you have less than 5GBs of free storage space.
