Avoided calorie counting until MyFitnessPal

I avoided calorie counting because it takes too much time and effort when I already have a million other things to do but I was sold on the barcode scanning and food scanning functionality

Surprisingly it works most of the time and the few things it doesn’t catch I can add or edit easily. It’s made keeping my calorie deficit in the weight loss range much simpler. Combined with exercise, I lost 3 kilos in 5 weeks.

Good but there are some bugs

I love the app. I’m using it for over 5 years. Recently I noticed some bugs when it comes to adding food to my diary. Sometimes kcal are counted but the food is not shown in the diary. From time to time the app counts overall kcal wrong f ex. It adds or cuts kcal from the equation especially when I add something in fractions like 0,15 from 100g of something. Differences vary form error of 10 kcal to even 500. Besides that all is great. I was using a pro version for some time but the bugs were present even in macro nutrients counting so I decided to resign. I wonder if the bugs can have something to do with my long term use and a lot of data saved.

Great app

It always could be better but I was really surprised that I can add every meal and snack so easily! Through barcodes or just name of products and even if you cooked something you can add your recipe(very intuitively). Thanks for this app you can find out where this unwanted calories and kilograms come from. Your exercise or daily steps are added to daily balance. I am using only free version now.
