This update enhances the integration of NotePlan with Apple's Reminders, making it even easier to manage the tasks you capture through Reminders.

Previously, NotePlan only displayed Reminders that had specific dates or times assigned. Now, you can view all your Reminders by list, regardless of whether they have a date.

Here's how it works:

You can now access un-dated Reminders through a new filter option. When setting up filters, select "Reminders" under the "by origin" option and disable all other options. Or create a new filter from the template "Reminders" (click under "Filters" on "New Filter")

To view your Reminders, you can choose your newly created Filter in the right sidebar by clicking on the drop-down button below the calendar and choosing your Filter (switching the Timeline to a filter).

Using the Reminders Filter with Siri:

You can use Siri to quickly add Reminders by voice when you're busy, like when driving or cooking. Later, at your desk, open the Reminders Filter to see your tasks. You can either check them off directly from the filter or drag them into a note. Once moved, NotePlan will delete the original Reminder, effectively transferring it into NotePlan.

Super useful app

I gave NotePlan3 a try a year ago and never looked back. For me it combines the best from both task manager and note taking worlds - I have all I need from a task manager but with a context around the task and ability to organize my notes the way information requires it.

The best app of its kind

This is a hidden gem. An app that sets the standard for every other to follow. Once you start using it you never go back. It combines the ingeniousness and simplicity of a paper planner with comfort and infallibility of cloud syncing and versioning. King of note takers, to do lists, outliners …

Lack of PC integration

It looks exactly what I need as combination of database, note taking calendar and tasks integrated modern application. But I have doubts about functionality as it is focused on Apple users with no PC or web based access. On top of that it is expensive while supported by single person company. Appreciated but I look elsewhere.

I'm considering to add a light web version, but I can't give an ETA for this yet.

While I founded NotePlan as a single founder, it doesn't mean I'm the only one working on it. Furthermore, single-founder startups have statistically a much higher survival rate than multi-founder teams.
